Schaumburg Township District Library
Schaumburg Township District Library is currently seeking a Director to lead a dynamic library with many exciting challenges. Located 30 miles northwest of Chicago suburban area, the library serves 130,000+ residents in six different villages through a main library and two branches. The Library has over one million visitors a year and circulates over two million items. The district is an independent taxing unit with an elected library board. The district is the home of many corporations such as Motorola, a host of national associations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the largest shopping center in the state.
With over 300 employees and an operating budget of $14,000,000, the Library strives to be a leader in innovative library services. Through a team-oriented management philosophy, the Library is respected for its technological and customer-friendly services. Our ideal candidate will have an MLS, seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience and a passion to lead a dynamic organization. Salary is negotiable from $95,000 and includes an extraordinary retirement and benefits package.
